The 2021 Run the Peninsula Race Series medals highlight local tribes. The Port Angeles Marathon Association partnered with two of the local tribes, the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe and the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe to create the 2021 medals. All of the medals are based on existing tribal artwork and were designed in collaboration with the tribes. On the back of each medal is a description of the origination and meaning of the artwork. All of the medals magnetize to a wooden stand to form a tribal totem. If you do all 5 races you will receive the wooden totem that will showcase the impressive accomplishment. All medals and wooden totems are made in the USA.
